Not sure what you mean, but lots of really good wrestlers choose to wrestle DII.
Division I is not a life choice everyone embraces.
I'm sure he knows how good he is and wants to be part of building a first-rate program for a legendary coach.
Darick had varies options when it came to choosing a college. His grades are solid and he has very strong ACT score. DI schools missed out on this kid and with that being said, he choose to attend Maryville. The Maryville coaching staff has embraced and made him an offer that would be very hard for any student athletic and parent to turn down. I look for Darick to perform at the DII level and who knows, maybe later down the road, he'll end up at a DI school.
