Counted the number of wrestlers in each 4A and 321A regional. Pulled the numbers off TRACKWRESTLING.

4A. 224 first round slots (16 bracket tournament X 14 weight classes = 224 slots). Total 4A wrestlers (4 X 224 slots) = 896 4A first round slots.
-Burlington : 184 wrestlers for 82% fill (40 byes)
-Colby :170 wrestlers for 76$ fill (54 byes)
-Holton l :153 wrestlers for 68% fill (71 byes)
-Winfield :152 wrestlers for 68% fill (72 byes)
4A Total 896 first round slots, 659 wrestlers for 74%fill, 237 opening byes.

321A. 224 first round slots (16 bracket tournament X 14 weight classes = 224 slots). Total 321A wrestlers (4 X 224 slots) = 896
-Douglas :156 wrestler for 70% fill (68 byes)
-Hoisington :148 wrestlers for 66% fill (76 byes)
-Sabetha :181 wrestlers for 81% fill (43 byes)
-Wakeeney :170 wrestlers for 76% fill (54 byes)
321A Total 896 first round slots, 655 wrestlers for 74% fill, 241 opening byes.

Would have hoped for better numbers. Way too many byes.

Added: Saw only one regional and one weight class with less than 4 wrestlers: Hoisington 106 lbs with 3 wrestlers. Does that get one wrestler to state winning only the bye in the losers bracket (open round 1 vs bye, 2 vs 3, losers bracket 3 vs bye, championship 1 vs 2)
