Glendale will be hosting a takedown tournament on June 25th at 9:00am. The cost is only $5. We have six youth clubs so far that are planning on bringing youth wrestlers. Our hope is to have quite a few athletes show up. The plan is to group wrestlers by weight and relative ages in pools of five. We are going to open this up to grades K-12. Depending on the number of participants, we will be using two to three mats. The periods will be two minutes long. The scoring system will be two pints for a takedown. If a wrestler has a 10 point lead, we will stop it and call it a tech fall.
We will be selling drinks, snacks and pizza as well. The tournament will take place in Glendale's main gym.

We have several youth clubs that are planning on bringing some kids.The following teams have contacted me: Terminators, Branson, Southwest Twisters, Lebanon, Bolivar, Eireman Elite, a team from Miami, OK, Lawrence, KS and Fort Smith Ark. The tournament is open for grades K-12.
