On July 28, 68 Kansas wrestlers and 6 coaches will depart for Justin TX, to compete in the annual Mid-Summer Mat Bash, organized by Nick McClellan of the Texan Wrestling Club.

We have four teams competing this year: KS Gold, KS Silver, KS Black, KS Red.

We will compete in 12 duals in two days (July 29-30) against teams from California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Texas.

Last year, KS Gold went 12-2 to finish 2nd behind the South Florida Lightning.

This year's Team KS group has wrestlers from Baldwin, Belleville, Beloit, Blue Valley SW, Burlington, Clay Center, Concordia, Derby, Gardner-Edgerton, Lawrence, Manhattan, Marysville, Osawatomie, Ottawa, Paola, Prairie View, Pratt, Royal Valley, Shawnee Mission NW, Topeka, Washburn Rural, and Wellsville.

The team will charter bus to Dallas, work out in the University of Oklahoma wrestling room on way down, and after wrestling hit up Six Flags, Hawaiian Falls Water Park, and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater and eat at Eskimo Joe's.

The team has been hard at work training & getting ready for the competition.
