If you didn't see the information posted by Daniel Reling in the kid's forum, this is definitely worth checking out! I could not be more excited about this FREE opportunity for all K-12 area wrestlers. Great coaching and great practice partners....See you at Washburn Rural!

WRHS and Topeka Blue Thunder wrestling will be starting a Wednesday training session open to all area wrestlers in order to prepare for Fall Brawl, Preseason Nationals or just getting a jump on the folkstyle season. Travis McBurney will have a structured, intense system preparing Kansas wrestlers for success at the highest levels of both Kansas and national levels. He has trained and developed multiple state champs at both the kids and high school level in Kansas as well as national champions in all three styles of wrestling over the last ten years. He will focus on scoring from your feet with multiple attacks of both upper body and lower body. Emphasis on success from tie ups. Top work from spiral ride and pinning tactics, scoring from the bottom while also working on developing mental toughness and preparation to succeed at a national level. He believes in setting extreme goals and working to achieve them.

August 31st, 6:00 - 8:00 PM will be the 1st session then following each Wednesday. Washburn Rural High School, 5900 SW 61st Street, Topeka, KS. Enter the building on the South side directly across from Ken Berry baseball fields.

All youth OPEN level wrestlers and High School wrestlers are welcome, must have a USA wrestling card, no club boundaries and no fees to join outside the USAW Card. Cards can be purchased at practice ($37) or by contacting Daniel Reling, 316-734-3276 or topekabluethunderwrestling@gmail.com.

We look forward to a great room!!

The fact that girls are forced to wrestle at state in the middle of the week is laughably sexist.
