OAKLEY INVITATIONAL WRESTLING TOURNAMENT

Date:  February 9, 2008

Deadline for Entries:  February 4, 2008

Entry fee:  $12.00 per wrestler (non-refundable).  No gate admission charge.  Make checks payable to Oakley Kids Wrestling Club,  P.O. Box 64, Oakley, Ks 67748

Weigh in:  Friday 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. @Oakley High School Auditorium (must weigh in singlet)

Where:  Oakley High School Gym, 118 W. 7^th 

Coaches Meeting:  8:15 a.m.

Age:  as of August 31, 2007

Rules:  U.S.A. Wrestling Sanctioned.  All wrestlers must have a U.S.A. Wrestling Card.  Kansas High School rules.  All wrestlers must wear headgear.

Wrestling Begins:  9:00 a.m.

Time Periods:  6& under, 8& under, 10& under, 3 periods- 1 minute each

12& under, 3 periods- 1 ½ minutes each

Awards 1-2-3-4-place medals

Weights:

6& under:   37-40-43-46-49-52-55-58-61-64-67-70-73-76-HWT

8& under:   40-43-46-49-52-55-58-61-64-67-70-73-76-80-88-HWT

10& under:   52-55-58-61-64-67-70-73-76-79-82-85-90-95-100-110-120-130-HWT

12& under:   60-64-68-72-76-80-84-88-92-96-100-105-110-115-120-130-140-150-165-190-215-HWT

PLEASE GIVE EXACT WEIGHT OF WRESTLERS ON THE ENTRY FORM:

There will be no weight changes made on the day of the tournament.  Rate each Wrestler. A. B. C. D.
                                                A---State Placer or usually places 1^st or 2^nd or state qualifier

                                                B---Usually Places 3^rd or 4^th

                                                C---Has Wrestled 2 or more years but doesn’t qualify as A, B, orC

                                                D---Beginner-1^st year of wrestling

Any wrestler without a rating will be classified as an “A”

We will have 2-3-4-5-man Round Robin and 8 man Brackets!

We reserve the right to combine weight to provide competition where weights permit.

Concessions:  Breakfast, Lunch and concessions will be served all day.

OAKLEY HIGH SCHOOL REQUESTS NO COOLERS BE ALLOWED IN THE GYM!!!

Oakley Wrestling Club will not be responsible for any injuries or lost or stolen property in or around Oakley High School.
