Re: 103 NEXT YEAR - 05/06/08 02:23 PM
Stokes was wrestling 105 in Feb of this past year. If he can still make 103 next year would be a question.
24/7
He wrestled 112 at the Junior Nationals on March 26th. I see him at 112 or 119 for his senior year.

TJ Stokes is in 8th grade and little brother to the older one you are thinking about Chief.

If Ruiz stays down, he'll repeat.
The 2008-09 All-Class rankings will be released on 11/01/08. Just a little over 5 1/2 months!

Re: 103 NEXT YEAR - 05/09/08 03:27 PM
Ruiz weighed in at 105-106 at Oak Park. He will be 103 next year I would think. And Chief I agree he will repeat in 6a.
24/7
He plans on making 101 at Park Hill on the 17th for Team Kansas.

I think Jeremiah Breen might do good because he has finally put on some weight and will finally have to cut so he might do pretty good
Tre' Humphrey should be in the mix from SMS 6A..at 103 or 112.
I agree with Humphrey. I thought he might be at 112 next year.

Ruiz, My Guess - 08/15/08 06:55 AM
Isaac Ruiz will return as the Defending State Champion.
I personally believe this kid has what it takes to win again.
He is a humble kid who loves the sport. If he loves what he's doing, (you can't take it away from him). He will return and defend his championship.

Will Adrian salas make 103 again?

Re: Ruiz, My Guess - 08/19/08 02:51 AM
Ruiz makes 103, gotta be the favorite!
I expect Isaac Ruiz to be the preseason #1 in the All-Class rankings at 103.

will any freshman be in the mix?

Re: 103 NEXT YEAR - 08/20/08 01:59 AM
I mentioned in my other post,
New freshman have been mentioned but the returners with experience in state really have a leg up.
Its more than likely definite that the qualifiers last year and placers at state will return. These guys will also begin to be the upperclass returners. I'm really interested in who the schools like NORTON, DERBY, GARDNER and MANHATTAN are bringing to the mat. It's going to be a really interesting year.

Re: 103 NEXT YEAR - 08/28/08 05:30 PM
Other than Ruiz and Windham, I believe this years class of FR. have more experience on big stages that most of the returning HS qualifiers. Little Vesta has more experience that most of the HS qualifiers as well, but he was blocked from varsity last year by big Bro. None the less it will be proven this winter on the mat as it should be. It is fun to speculate.

well statechamp69 luke cole got 6th but yes he will be a very tough kid to beat!!!!
Posted By: badbo
Re: 103 NEXT YEAR - 09/14/08 07:54 PM
Wouldn't have thought Luke Cole would still go 103 as a Sr. not many do. He would be Behind Ruiz, and with Windham if he can make it.

Re: 103 NEXT YEAR - 09/15/08 12:44 AM
ruiz and windham are both justr as good as eachother .. that match could go either way
Posted By: orange09
Re: 103 NEXT YEAR - 09/16/08 05:05 PM
Luke is going to wrestle at 103 this year.
Posted By: 24/7
Re: 103 NEXT YEAR - 09/16/08 05:30 PM
He will be very tough. How much does Luke weigh naturally? Not many Sr's can make 103. Those that do surely have a large advantage. (Windham and Cole). A SR 103 just has different muscle structure than a FR. 103 even if they are about the same size.
