Where do you find the tournament info?
Posted By: moeder

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/23/10 09:22 PM

Cujo - I found it at www.nhsca.com

At the top under upcoming events, it scrolls/changes very slowly, you can click on either the Freshman, Sophmore, or Junior division once it scrolls across. It then takes you to a new page and you can select the tab for "Entries".

There may be a quicker link, not sure.

Chose the event and look for the "Entries" tab midway down, on right side..

Good luck guys!

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/24/10 12:16 AM

Sorry hit it hard! My timing must have been just right. I tried your site and it is easier and quicker.

(By the way, I'm still quick enough to catch Taylor when it is required. And that is required periodically.) laugh

Is there anybody who will be able to give updates? I love the updates! Wish I could be there to watch but will have to do my cheering from back home. Good luck wrestlers!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/24/10 05:42 PM

I havent found them yet either. Bought the live PPV so my wife could watch it and she hasnt been able to get on there yet. I think they may have the brackets available there if she could ever get set up.

I do know Taylor has Flores-Wyoming State Champion first round.

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/24/10 06:05 PM

I think that is the idea, they want to sell the PPV. I hope they don't do the same with Senior Nationals!

Ryne has Garret Gibson from NY. He didn't get seeded. It appears they only seed last year's placers. If he wins he will run into Joey Kielbasa IL in his third match. 2x IL state champ.

Cokely gave the 1 point, he was in control of the Illinois wrestler handily.

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 10:42 AM

Tommy has not wrestled yet he starts today.. bradley won his first match 15 to 5 and lost his second 7 to 5 very close match to a great kid. Miles won his first match 9 to 1 and lost his second match to the orgeon state champ 4 to 3, got tooken down with seconds left was winning the whole time tho.

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 01:06 PM

Cokeley is up in 3!
Posted By: Chief Renegade

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 01:14 PM

Taylor Moeder is an ALL-AMERICAN! Cruises to the Semis with a 12-2 domination!
Posted By: Chief Renegade

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 01:42 PM

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryne gets a TD at the buzzer and wins 4-3! He's an ALL-AMERICAN!

I think that solves the tie at 145 All-Class!
Posted By: C C

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 01:58 PM

Looks like the #3 seed that beat Gentzler 3-2 in double ot won his next match 13-2 to get to the semis.
Posted By: C C

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 02:10 PM

It looks like their seedings were kind of bogus (at 145). Ryne didn't get seeded, and the 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 seeds are all on the back side. A few of them made the trip there fairly early, like the #1 seed in the first round. But, it would be tough to really seed guys for a tournament like this.
Posted By: moeder

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 02:23 PM

The # 2 seed in Taylors bracket lost in the semi's to a state champ from Maryland, but the one and four seeds are still winning so his bracket was seeded pretty well.
Posted By: Chief Renegade

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 02:45 PM

Moeder/Lynch up next!
Posted By: Paratroop

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 02:49 PM

Bradly Little won 4-3 over an Iowa boy on the backside.

They wont have them up untill after weigh ins are over and that starts at 2
Posted By: Chief Renegade

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 04:14 PM

Incredible match!!! Cokeley was tied 1-1 in 3rd. The guy shot a deep double and picked Ryne up in the air with total control. On his way down to score, Ryne got the leg and gutted out a stalemate!!!! It went OT and Ryne took him down to his back!

Ryne Cokeley is a national finalist!

The bracket says it was 6-5.

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 04:58 PM

Nope, Taylor called, said he was ahead and got pinned at the end of the match. Bracket is wrong.

Well, now he said they are saying the time was out and it wasnt a fall, just back points to win the match. Either way it was a tough loss!
Posted By: smokeycabin

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 05:42 PM

Bracket had Eric Mason losing 5-3 in OT to Vizcarrondo of PA.
Still shows his name in wrestlebacks.

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 05:43 PM

congrats to both ryne and taylor an outstanding tournament; lets keep it going!

sounds like they've both had some brutally tough matches...way to compete hard and represent the greatest state in the union!

I know. The ref did slap the mat, but I couldn't tell. It was a great match though!
Posted By: Coach Davies

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 06:28 PM

He really showed just how tough he is in this match. He got slammed pretty hard and held on to get the stalemate. Cornell's coach came over to us after the match and said "man, that kid is tough"
Posted By: Coach Davies

Re: Junior Nationals! - 03/25/10 06:34 PM

Eric really wrestled a great match, he got warned for stalling early and then the ref hit him for a very questionable 1 when Eric was calling for injury time on the edge of the mat because he got poked in the eye (for the third time), but the ref called it stalling.... Like I said, probably should not of been called for one. He really wrestled a good match. He has to win one more to earn All-American status and if he wrestles like he did in the last match he definately will earn it.

I can't see the complete bracket with my PC for some reason. Even when I shrink the size of it. Did Taylor finish 3rd or 4th? And, who is it that he said 'kicked his butt?' ;-)
