The following breaks down the returning team points, qualifiers and medal winners for last year's 3-2-1A state tournament field.

134 of last year's 224 (59.8%)qualifiers are retunring and 50 of last year's 84 (59.5%) medal winners have eligibility remaining.

This does not factor in individuals who had placed at state in prior years but were not able to this year. Or individuals unable to compete at state due injury, inability to make the team or an exceptionally tough regional bracket. Nor does it take into account freshman phenoms who will factor into the equation next year.

I hate to say this, being that Wellsville was my old hs but I dont see them having any qualifiers next year. After this season I talked to Cody Gardner and he doesnt seem to be planning on going out. Cody went out this year I believe to help the team which included his brother dustin which had his season ended early with an injury.

how many wrestlers will wellsville have then? one? any freshman? they didnt have many to begin with. were all the tother studs on the team seniors?

Looks like Minneapolis, Stockton and Phillipsburg all will need to reload after losing all their state qualifiers.

Is Rossville the most underrated returning team on the list?

Wellsville probably wont have a qualifier next year unless one of the one that wrestled JV under Gardner, Patton and Caruthers Steps up. Yes the rest of wellsville's solid wrestlers, Patton, Caruthers, Roberts and D. Gardner were all Seniors. Hopefully Cody will go back out and work to continue Wellsville having some one to compete at Tournaments.

Looks like those Harvey County boys will have to get those 3 DNP into 3 Places. Best of luck to them.
