Is this just an open mat or a club and is there a fee at all?

Re: FS/GR in Baldwin City - 03/11/04 04:32 AM

It is an open room to come and work out. Any wrestler, any age, any club, any town. There will be somebody provided to teach technique for the first 30 minutes of every practice for those in need of that. The next 45 minutes or so will be for live wrestling. Then we will offer some strength training for anybody interested in that. Should be fun.

No fee, only a USAW card required.

We will also have information on tournaments and national level events as is available.

We will provide this workout room through April and May, and then even June and July if interest allows.

sounds great Kit I'll try to get some kids and make that drive, that could work for some of our East Kansas Greco/Freestyle kids who want to practice on the off day. Our paractices are on Mon and Wed. Maybe we can use this forum to hook like sized and liked ability wrestlers up for some good live wrestling.

That sounds like a good idea coach. We will have to be in touch to set up some good training partners.

Kitt,

Do you have a list of tournaments available for the spring run. I was planing on trying to put one together in Manhattan. Also it would help me plan out Team Tango's travel plans.

Mark,
I always refer to the calendar schedule posted on the http://www.usawks.com site. It tends to have the latest info. KC, Mo., often has some real good events too that kids from this area attend.

Hope that helps.

Kit

All wrestlers wanting to work out tomorrow need to bring $30 for USA card unless you already have one.

If you have no card and no $30, you are welcome to watch.

BHS wrestlers (who may be reading this) need to not show up tomorrow as I will be there. You can come on Thursday with Coach Bovaird.

We sure have had a lot of response for this...could possibly be a great turnout.

Look forward to seeing everyone Tuesday.

We plan on balancing time equally between greco and freestyle.

Everyone should go. I went today and it was a great area to practice. A lot of mat space. Again everone should go.

Do you happen to know any clubs that practice on Monday or Wednesday? I would love for Zachary to get a little Freestyle instruction, but he can't do Tues/Thursday due to baseball.
We live in Wellsville.
