Girls open tournament

Emporia is once again thinking of hosting a girls open tournament in conjunction with our novice tournament on January 25, 2009 if there is enough interest.
Ms Jenni is already on board. Cost will be $15.00. Like last year, you may wrestle the novice as well, if you meet the criteria.

please let me know more about it I have a daughter who wanted to wrestle all girl tourney this year but due to family illness she got talked into wrestling coed but i would really love to get her into a few girl tourney her name is Leea Bentley and we are from Ellworth County Kids Club I might be able to get one of the coaches to come coach her please let me know all info on all girls tourney's either on her or email qtpiedispatcher@yahoo.com or call at 785 5319185 she really loves to wrestle this will be her 2nd year and last year she went to state she is 6 and under and about 46-49 pounds if that helps Thank you

We are so excited that Emporia is running a girls festival again this year. We made a schedule yesterday for girls practices and we are securely a NE location...any girls that are wrestling...get ahold of me by email at kansaskrusaders@yahoo.com...we will get some good practices in before the tourneys.

If any other Novice or Open tourneys would consider adding a girls festival to their tourney...I will help with the bracketing etc. It doesn't really take any more time or money to add the girls...we had 49 at Emporia last season.

Is there a schedule anywhere listing all the girls tournaments?

I am in NE Kansas and more than willing to help with girls tournaments, whether it be promoting or bracketing or whatever. I know that we would love to attend as many all-girl events this year as possible. justbkanak@yahoo.com is my e-mail if anyone needs anything. Let me know.

Maybe someone should ask Mike Juby to make the tournaments with girls' brackets a different color or something on the calendar. Then it would be way easier to tell which ones they are. Just a thought.

I will be working on the flyer today and there has been little interest in the girls open. I have only received a couple of emails at home. If you know of some girls that want to wrestle in a “Girls only” tournament start posting. I have talked to a few at the Open tournaments when I see the girls on the mat and they express interest. You will have a gym to yourself so you can be showcased.

I have a 6u wanting to attend!

To all the wrestling family involved with girl wrestlers...we need to unite. We have having our first meeting/practice this Sunday in Burlingame, KS at the HS which is across from the swimming pool. We have heard from quite a few girls of all ages that will be attending. We will start at noon and end at 3pm. I am interested in this tournament. I have a 9 yr old daughter who is wrestling 101#. How do I get the information and sign up?

Wrestlers listen up. Emporia did us very good last year and we are expecting an ever better turnout this year. Mr. Gonzales said that we have gotten about 50 hits for the flyer on the Krusader website already. We will have our own roon to wrestle with our own mat and we will have two of our former Kansas Krusader Women Wrestlers for our officials...Chandra Engel and Danette O'Hara. They are both certified officials and they have been working this year as refs. We are looking forward to the tourney for kicking off the girl's season.
