Just an update on one of the KS wrestlers at National Duals. Zach Roberson may be the star of the tournament so far. If the first round he beat #1 ranked Ryan Lewis of Minnesota 6-4. In the second round he defeated #2 ranked Witt Durden of Oklahoma 6-1. Way to go Zach.

OU & OSU wrestle in the finals tomorrow at 2:30 our time. Bo Maynes knocked off Luke Eustice (last year's NCAA runner-up) 7-2 tonight. He will wrestle Skylar Holman in the finals tomrrow. OU also had another good upset earlier in the day when Teyon Ware beat last year's NCAA Champ from Iowa State at 141. It wasn't a fluke either. He was the aggressor the whole match and took the ISU kid down to his back in the last few seconds. Ware wrestles Esposito tomorrow which should be pretty good. They are both freshmen and both STUDS.

I thought Bo Maynes had the best tournament of all the Kansas wrestlers. He was totally dominant in all of his matches. Roberson won all of his matches against ranked opponents, but ISU was out in three rounds and he didn't have as much exposure as Maynes. I talked to Bo at the airport afterwards. What a great young man he is and an excellent representative for the state of Kansas.
