Does any know about the Schippers twins, Gilliand and Baker. Are they all continuing their careers in college.

The Schippers are no goes too. One of them is going to KSU next semester and the other one is going somewhere in Oklahoma.

Mat Gilliland finally makes his way into the MHS mat room...after winning four state titles at Hoxie.
(Note: he learned most of his technique from a young Prant Garker at Eisenhower Middle School.)

Didn't Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver also attend Eisenhower Middle School? That school has quite the legacy of talent...
Good Luck, Sir Parker, you should be finishing school soon. Any thoughts on where you will ply your professional craft? Could you be making your way back to Kansas? Keep us informed.

That would put Larry Mondello at the same weight class as Prant Garker and Jhris Cennings...what a wrestle-off!

Bracket-man et al,
Actually, I finished school a year early, because college is way expensive. I recently got a job in Houston working for a company called CCS Fund Raising, but am currently in Chicago for a couple of weeks of training.
I'll be based in Houston but traveling as far North as Kansas (yes!) and as far East/South as Florida working with Lions Clubs International to help raise money for Campaign SightFirst II. (If you want to know any facts about blindness, I can tell you 5,000.) They trusted me enough to give me a company car (whaaaat?!) aaaaand they let me wear a suit every day. Yee-ha. (As well as being a spelling nerd, I am also a suit/tie-nerd.)
Naturally, I am horribly underqualified for the position and have no idea why I'm employed.
If anyone in the wrestling community is a Lion, we may meet each other sometime in the next few months. Yippee.
Also, some Eisenhower Middle School tidbits:
1) I first met Jhris Cennings as a young 7th grader who always wore a "Denver Broncos" t-shirt. In the first couple of weeks of wrestling practice, he got into a fight at practice with some kid. Surprisingly, he won. 2) Other notable EMS alumni: Jonathan Walter, 2002 State runner-up (Brett Stewart curse) Matt Heerman, 3rd Place 2001 and 2002 (Stewart Bogart curse) Jeb Woodford 3) It should be known that my first takedown ever was on Jonathan Walter, the first week of my wrestling career. I'm not sure I ever got one off of him after that, and everything was downhill from there.

Congratulations, Mr. Parker! Very pleased to hear that you have joined the ranks of the working class with a very worthy cause.
If you are ever in the Dallas-Ft Worth area, please let me know ahead of time and dinner will be on me.

... and as far as being under-qualified for a job goes, I thought I was never paid what I was worth! And it was a good thing or else I would have starved!
Are you making a POSITIVE difference in the life of kids?
