Hey!!! How about the new RPW (Real Pro Wrestling Series)coming in March. Two Kansas wrestlers will be wrestling in the series. Eric Akin wrestling for the Shooters, and Zach Roberson wrestling for the Stalkers. Their new web-page has all the news and rundown on the teams. The web-site is http://WWW.realprowrestling.com The shows will air on PAX TV starting Sunday March 27th and run through April every Sunday at 3:00 p.m. There will also be shows starting Wednesday March 30th on FSN TV, these shows will air on Wednesdays into April at 2:00 p.m. This will be a chance to see a couple of our own Kansas wrestlers competing. If you would like to see a preview of the action, look on the web-site, click on events, you can see Zach and Eric, along with some of your favorite senior wrestlers in competition. Spread the news throughout the Kansas wrestling community. If the series takes hold, there may be more to come.

This is one that I hope the wrestling community is hosting parties for, especially the kids and their folks. I'm already looking forward to the production and if the prelims are any indication of what to expect we are all in for a treat.

We remember the Roberson, Medrano matches like they happened yesterday. Brook is a great wrestler and it is good to see him coaching in Kansas. Brook is anothe example of the veterans helping out the youngsters. Keep up the good work Brook.

Took a look at the RPW site... With the dominance of wrestlers in the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) I think the sport has a better chance than ever in succeeding. A lot of martial arts types are taking a long hard look at the the most ancient form of combative sport. Why, because they simply crushed all of the Kung-fu, Karate, guys that got into the ring (or octagon). Only Brazilian Ji-jitsu and Russian Sambo came close in second and third and they are both "grappling" and holds/submission type forms. I wish them the best. I hope they will avoid the temptation to try and make it TOO GLITZY. Wrestling is a beautiful sport when it is kept simple.

The show should come off pretty cool, I went w/Eric to LA during the taping, and the arena is so awesome. I don't think RPW tried to make it too "glitzy", there was loud music going, but it was cool--had a Dj too. RPW has also been working on bios/stories to air w/the matches that should be interseting also. If this season takes off, there will be more seasons so hopefully you all will tune in this March-May. check out realprowrestling.com , click on the 1st video to see highlights of Eric and Zach! along with others--
