I was sure disappointed to see only one wrestler from Kansas listed in this year's Western Junior regional. This regional offers great competitors, contact with many College Head Coaches, and exposure to the stars of the Senior division.

You can't sit at home and go to only the Southern Plains Regional if you expect to get recruited by Colleges around the country.

Sean Flynn (KS) needs one more win against Adam Hall of Idaho to win his pool and the chance to wrestle for first place in the 152# weight division. Good job Sean!

Absolutely fantastic time at Vegas!

Highly recommend this tournament to all competitive high school wrestlers. Probably the largest juniors tournament outside of the National tournament at Fargo and the National Duals.

None stop four days of wrestling from the best in the country / world! Several tournaments going on at the same time:

Western Junior Regional
FILA Juniors Nationals
Senior Nationals
Veteran Nationals
Women’s World Team Trials

Little on the expensive side, but this is a kids dream to wrestle beside Olympians and College national champs.

Sean had a great run taking third in a 61 man bracket. He won eight matches (two pins, three Tec falls, and three decisions). He lost one match in pool action to Utah's Cole Shafer and one match to Idaho’s Adam Hall in the Pool Final Round Robin. Hall, the #1 ranked high school wrestler in the nation at 152lbs, went on to win the championship.

Neil Erisman was the other Kansas high school wrestler at Vegas. Neil wrestled in the FILA Junior Nationals and went 2-2.

Results from the Western Regional are below:
