I would like to tip my hat to all those folks out in Junction City for sponsoring the state tournament. Another big thanks to all the USAW Kansas reps and friends of wrestling that organized, set up, and ran another great state tournament.

Could be wrong, but it appeared our numbers were a little smaller than years past. While the brackets were small in most cases, the competitors in the brackets were some of the best in the state and the nation.

Congratulation to all the national qualifiers, and best of luck Kansas at the schoolboy, cadet, junior duals and the national tournaments.

If you are looking for a practice in the greater Leavenworth Country area, the Slammers will continue to train twice a week until about mid-July.

The Slammers will be taking a week off and will start training again 13 Jun. Practices are each Tues 6:00 to 7:30 at Leavenworth High School and Thrus 6:00 to 7:30 at Lansing High School. Practice will be FS/GR/ and Folkstye and live wrestling.

I will be out of town for a while. Contact Coach Jeff Butler (email Jrod400@aol.com) or phone [(913) 680-0663] before you come out to make sure there was not change in schedule.

Lastly, I left a black camera bag in the bleachers at the tournament. Had a couple of tapes in there of HS graduation and wrestling. If some one found it or could point me to the tournament directors contact information (so I could check "lost and found", I would aprreciate it.
