Was it just me or was there an ex-marine in doing hair checks at state. At district they made us trim my sons hair and we did.

Before weigh-ins at Topeka, we took him to the mall and had it touched up. Then at the weigh-ins they sent him out three times to have it trimmed.

Yeah same thing happen to me and Im from Ark City and I had to cut my whole hair off and some of the other kids like Kyle Detmer and Daivd Haist and other from different cities didn't have to cut theirs and mine looked terrible. I am upset about what they were doing. The lady was being mean but the black guy was nice about it.

Hey Legrider have your son get a haircut like yours, then there would be no question whether he could get in or not.

AC_Bulldog_103 your wrong Kyle Detmer had to get his hair hacked about an inch and a half in back. Several were in the same boat as you and your right it was a little rediculous. Somebody was cutting some of our kids bangs above the eyebrows.

Head covers; be prepared, as one who used to have long hair would know. Who was doing the hair cutting? I thought you had to have a license to cut hair in Kansas.

Furches --- you are absolutely correct! The bad thing is --- the number one no no in the hair business, no sterilization! I would like to know the name of the woman performing the haircuts. Exspecially when the kid's hair was not below the ear lobes, not below the eye brows, and above the collar. Where is the written rules on hair length? Help us out here Nigel. I didn't go to weigh ins. but wish I would have known that was going on before the fact ... the best way that should have happened was no weighing in until the hair meets the written rules, much like the skin checks. Absolutely NOBODY should have been given the authorization to cut anyone's hair without a license posted!

In D1N they didn't alow the kids to weigh if a determination was made that the hair didn't conform to the standard. They were sent out and Mom or Dad took care of it. I do know of a couple boys who had to make more than one trip out of the weigh in room to comply.
