Thanks for the results Richard. Just a couple of notes: The winner @ 112# was Travis "Janzen"-HES & the winner @ 215# was Damon "Garcia"-Her.
The 119# championship was a forfiet win for Harshman-CHC. I thought one of the best matches of the tourney was Harshman-CHC vs Medlin-HES in the semi's. There was great action by both wrestlers for the entire match. Medlin scored 2pts with about 5 seconds left (can't remember if it was takedown or reversal). For some reason, Medlin then let Harshman up for the 1 pt escape which won the match for Harshman 11-10. I assume he just lost track of time.
The 140# championship match between Thibault-Hal vs Melcher-Her was pretty intense as well (8-7 Thibault). Melcher gave up an escape along with a penalty point for a semi-punch late in the 3rd period. It's the 2nd time those two have met in less than a week, with Thibault winning super close matches each time.
Maybe the most surprising champion was Barr-Marion @ 152. He beat Livesay-LIN in the semi's in a good match. Congrats to the Circle team & Ryan Patterson-GPL.

He didn't wrestle. Not sure why

Where did Garcia Herrington come from??? He wasn't wrestling early but is now something like 17-0. I dont remember him wrestling with Herrington last year.

garcia is a freshman....hes pretty tough...and teddy...thank you...i thought i was down by 1 so i let brendan up to try and get another takedown...it was an exhausting match, but a fun one at that

I want to congratulate Smokey Valley, too. I'm from Ellsworth and we always wondered why they never had wrestling. They've been a big 3A and recently a solid 4A school. Glad they have wrestling now and glad they're doing well.

Curious as to what the score was in the McGinty/Baker 189 championship match. I have seen both wrestle (Baker at 4a state last year, and Mcginty v. Malay of Wakeeny this year).

swayz, it was 6-0 mcginty, and mcginty got a reverse headlock and backtripped baker for the pin

Where is Cole Zogelman from Garden Plain, I didn't see his name in the results. Did he wrestle?

He hurt his shoulder and forfeited out last Saturday at the Eureka tournament. Probably hasn't returned from the injury yet.

Actually it was only 3-2 with 30 secs left when McGinty pinned him.
