I am not too sure but I think that Jess Lemon (Chapman) will either be wrestling 140 or 145. At the end of football, he was weighing 155 but dropped down to 135 for high school wrestling. However, his favorite sport (baseball) is coming up and he has already been told that he needs to beef up so it will be open eating season after his high school wrestling season ends.

Just curious, but how can a fit kid like Lemon, drop 20 pounds and pass the hydration test?

Simple, we followed a diet that was recommended from a wrestling site I found on the internet. Here is a breakdown....no pop or candy of any kind (he only drinks water with Crystal Light Lemonade). Baked chicken or turkey for a meat. All the fruit and vegetables you can eat. Very little pasta or bread. Eat 6 very small meals a day. And run, run, run (Noel Richardson and Jess would run 4 miles a day to cut weight, he is now doing just 2 miles). In the week before hydration test, he had nothing but SlimFast for breakfast and dinner, vegetable soup for supper and lots and lots of water. He was already down to 135 by that time but wanted to make sure he passed the hydration test. Now, his diet is eating sensibly all week long with as much fruit and vegetables he can get his hands on, run every day and take plenty of vitamin C tablets and garlic pills to stay healthy.

It has also helps that we live in Abilene so when the weather is really crappy, he can go to the rec center and shoot baskets or do his running in a nice warm building.
