One kid that I want to see do well amongst many is Josh Wood of Baldwin. Josh lost his mother to cancer earlier this year and has only wrestled 18 matches going 12-6 on the year. With Baldwin hoping to make an impact as a team and Josh having such a tough year losing his mom, I think you might see some amazing heart for this senior 189lber.

My other guy that I think will be flying way under the radar is going to be CJ Randall of Prarie View...if you haven't seen this kid, you are missing a specimen. This kid is the epitomy of a physically fit machine. He'll have to pull of some big wins though to get on the podium with a tough draw at 171.

I think that Josh Woods is a very nice person and I am sorry to hear about his mother but I don't think he will place. Good Luck to him any ways, I hope this pushes him that much harder.

The one thing I hope he remembers is what I told him at Regionals. He told me this was a good way to end the year at regionals...I told him the year wasn't over yet.

Baker is ranked 2nd in 4A at 189. That doesn't make him much of an underdog.

I think Weller from from KC Piper at 103lbs in 4a could make a good run. He only has one loss all year long and that was in a nail biter to dennis wood of lansing at Kaw Vallley League Finals. This kid has alot of talent and heart. Should be a good semifinal match against Darin Stroot of Andale. He has the potential of taking first.

He'll have to get by Ornelas first, that might be tough to do.

I would have said Jake Westhoff of Labette County who only lost to Benz of Eureka by 1 earlier this year, but apparently he either didn't wrestle at regionals or did really bad.

that might be a good match but it all depends on how they wrestle either way i think weller will escape with a maj. dec going on who Ornelas has lost too and Weller's loss
