Freestyle & Greco Roman Practices

Team Central Southwest will be conducting Freestyle & Greco Roman practice sessions from April 1st – June 13th for any wrestler that wishes to expand their knowledge and skills in this GREAT sport. There will be 2 practice sessions per week, and membership dues will be $50 per month, due on the 1st of April & May. June fees will be reduced to $25 for the two week span.

Freestyle is one of the International styles of wrestling that is represented in the Olympics. There are different scoring techniques in each style that will teach your wrestler to develop “mat awareness”. You will develop your skills mainly from the neutral & top positions, which can be very helpful in Folkstyle matches as well.
Greco-Roman emphasizes on the upper body throws from the waist up to the head. You are not allowed to “shoot” takedowns per-say, but you can gain positioning by using your legs to set up upper body throws.
Practice schedules will be posted as soon as we have an idea of how many wrestlers we have interested. Space will be limited, so please let us know ASAP if you are going to be attending.

TCSW/Wrestling Central 3-Day Summer Camp

TCSW will be hosting a summer camp in conjunction with Wrestling Central on June 11-13. This camp will feature clinicians from Oklahoma State, Mizzou, as well as other NCAA All Americans.
