Salyer hit 5000 today. Not sure how much he got as his first to 5,000 amount but I hope it was good and plenty and will be huge in giving a kid a scholarship down the line.

I am surprised. How did that happpen? It seems like just a couple of weeks ago maybe less, I saw that Aaron was in the lead at about 4,975 and Richard was less than 4,700. In viewing Richard's recent posts it does not seem like he has posted that many in the last couple of weeks to make up that difference. Did I read that wrong or was there some kind of recount of Richard's total?

While Dad was out of town his son(s) bumped his post total by posting and deleting meaningless stuff like this Greetings from Chapman Island or EASTBOUND and DOWN....SE KANSAS HERE I COME. Dad stays logged in on his computer so it is easy to post under his name. When he gets home from Mass in a few minutes things may change. I doubt he knows what his post total is. It does not mean as much to him as it does to a few others He will probably need to go to Confession after he sees this and has a few special RichardDSalyer comments for his sons.

That's why his total will always have an asterisk. Evidently it meant too much to someone in his camp. Can we assume that 1000 or so posts were not his?

Am I the only one who sees this as an attack on Swayz? I have personally never seen Aaron's posts as "meaningless." I have seen some fun posts that aren't always serious, but to use the term "meaningless" shows a true lack of understanding of the relationships, friendships and sharing that can take place as a result of these forums. Many people in this state love him. anyone at FS/Greco state this last weekend, or any other tournament Aaron shows up would know that. "Meaningless" I don't think so.

Meaningless, probably not...wrong part of the forum, yes. But alas tis not different then making phantom posts and blaming your kids on them!
