Dale was a great ambassador to the Wrestling Community
3X State Champion for Oberlin, KS
2X All American For Fort Hays State University
and was an official for several years
and is in the Kansas Wrestling Hall of Fame
Dale Votapka,was killed in a car wreck last night. They were on their way home from their daughter's in Hays with her sons and hit a slick spot 1/2 mile from Oberlin and slide into a semi. The good news is that Cheryl and the boys are o.k.-although bruised up. They had a terrible, unpredicted, storm last night not a lot of snow but very slick over most of the state. There were wrecks everywhere.
