All I can say about this is that Mikey B is a young and rising star in the profession. Dodge City's loss is going to be sombody's gain! I find it rather intersting though that Dodge has been through three coaches over the last 5 or 6 years. This tells me that ther is something bigger going on.

I think all or most A.D. are not helpping wrestling because its not a money maker for the school like football or basketball. In our school the cheer leaders will not even go to a wrestling meet. Last year we had two boys place at 4A state and had to get two chear leaders from a good school clay center to give the awards to our boys. I though the A.D of any school was to help all sports but belive me thats not the case. They say they are helping all sports but we all know better than that. All I can say to coach Bammes is before you apply again in a diffent school talk to someone that coachs the kids program at that town and ask him about how the school subports the wrestling team they usally know and will tell you the good and bad side of it.

Mikey B,
Dont let the man get ya down! Keep up the good fight, I could always use a good assisstant here in Sabetha. We already know how to coach together, I sometimes miss the MHS days! Besides you would be close to both brothers and get to caoch against them!!!!!
Best of luck brother!

Does anyone have any proof that Coach Bammes' leaving is in any way related to the administration? Or are we just speculating? If we would have been making these "guesses" about a wrestler, the next 30 posts would have been from people telling us all to mind our own business.

Watching Coach Bammes kids wrestle at Newton this year, you could tell they were well coached.
Talking to several people over the past couple of years that were familiar with the current situation in Dodge, the administration has been less than supportive of the wrestling program. While I do not know the particulars of Coach Bammes decision to resign, I would be surprised if that didn't play some role in it.
Good luck Mike, I am sure you will have success at the next school you go to.

My original post was not meant to offend any one, it was pure speculation into the different things that can be detrimental to a team. By no means was I implying that this happened at Dodge.

Sometimes coaches move onto bigger and better things. I am sure Mike will be fine. Good Luck to all in Dodge City. Above all good luck and best wishes to Coach Bammes!
