All Newman wreslters except Nate, Jake, & Aeron have won. They are towards the end of the 2nd rounds. I can tell you Curtis Chenoweth won his 1st match 11-2 and the 2nd match by Tfall. Hopefully the brackets will be updated soon. Over all Newman is ahead as a team!!!

Not to put down what Neuman is doing, but shouldn't they be winning this thing. They are a school that will be competing in the NCAA's next year. A lot of the kids they are competing with are teams made up of kids that are just doing this for fun out of their own free time.

Granted, the NWCA is a great thing and I wish more kids would do it. It is really hard to be competitive as a club team though I would think.

Newman a solid 3rd place only 2 points out of first. Central Florida and Grand Valley are two very solid programs.

I watched a bunch of this tourney on the webcast. Excellent wrestling by the Kansas wrestlers involved!!! Some results that I know of right now:

125
Semis- Wall (Newman) won by Fall over Estrada.

Finals: Hamilton (*defending champ) def. Wall (Newman) 5-3
3rd: Hagan (Newman) stomped his kid like 10-2

133
Semis- Canning (Marian) won by dec over Heersche (KSU) 9-7
Backside Cons: Meng (CSU-Fort Collins) 2nd period Fall over Heersche (KSU)
5th: Heersche (KSU) won by dec 5-2 over Seck.

141
Fox (Newman) ended up 8th--I think he forfeited that match.

149
Goodloe (Newman) lost in the semis, but I don't know the score.
Pipes (KSU) was going for 5th.

165

Lund (KSU) lost 9-6 to Richardson (GVSU) in the semis.
**Was winning 5-2 and got taken down twice I'd say in the last 50 seconds; with the last take down being right to his back for a 3 point nearfall. Don't know what place he is going for.

285

Know that FLO (Newman) is in the Finals.

Kinda Team update:
Newman was rumored to be in the lead after around 1 p.m. today, but I do know that Grand Valley State was right on their tail. Also, it's hard to know the team scores since the NCWA doesn't update their brackets and scores regularly...BOO!

Chenoweth pins for 7th. Needs stitches, but that won't hurt his looks too much

Hey tommytuffnutz you might learn how to spell Newman, it is NEWMAN not Neuman. Being a mother of a Newman wreslter I'm very proud of how this YOUNG team did. You need to look at the experience, they have some older wreslters yes, but they also have alot of young guys on this team. And let me say to Curtis especially, I know 7th is not what you wanted, but to go out there and have the guts to wrestle knowing your injury you need to be proud of yourself then, to top it off jam your neck and split your chin on top of the other injury?? You're not 100% maybe barely 50, yet you are able to pull this off. Be proud of what you did do!! All your family and friends are!!
