I noticed that Clay Center had bags of food and drinks for their wrestlers after weigh ins. I questioned Ned about this and he said we could bring in food for weigh ins for our wrestlers. i did not know this so I just wanted to get the word out that any club could have food and drinks for their wrestlers after they weigh in. So next year any club that wants to have refreshments for their wrestlers are allowed to bring them in to the expo center for weigh ins.

Lets slow down a little bit and not miss speak. They do not bring in food they bring gift bags and t-shirts to hand out to there wrestlers at weigh-in. Most teams do this back at the hotels they stay in. Clay Center does at weigh-in cause they are there most of the day setting up. When we talked I said I did not have a problem letting other teams hand out gift bags but we would have to set it up. NO you can not bring food and drink in for after weigh-ins. To me there is a difference.

They would not let you bring food in for after weigh-ins. I had a box of cereal bars and they told me I could not take them into the Expo center.

All these people trying to bring food into the Expo Center, isn't that what cargo pants and baggy coats are made for?

Ned,
Could you please clarify what you mean by set it up? Do you mean clubs should contact you and let you know they are bringing gift bags for their wrestlers which will include food and drinks?
Or are you saying that Clay Center did not give food and drinks in their gift bags, only T-shirts and noise makers and such.
Thanks for your help.

Ned, There were snacks and drinks in the gift bags. I would of never questioned it if it was just t-shirts. You told me that we were allowed to bring them in for weigh ins. Does this apply to everyone or just Leanna. If it is not allowed then she shouldn't be able to do it either.

Ned, Please reply to this post. What you stated at weigh ins in front of myself and Tuff is not what you posted here. I was never questioning gift bags but the food and drinks that they contained. You stated then that anyone was allowed to bring in refreshments for their wrestlers after weigh ins, and that the expo center was only concerned about food being brought in on the tournament days. Now you seem to be changing your story. Do the rules apply to everyone equally or are certain people allowed to make their own rules. Tom baughman

Sorry if I have mis-spoken, or have not made myself clear or I am doing a terrible job of explaining. In the above post I said the they had gift bags to hand out which I found out had the following a picture, t-shirt, bottle water, granola bar, gum, jolly ranchers, crackers, and other food stuff (Snacks). Once again we need to be fair to all just like I said Friday, next year if you want a table to set goody bags for your team I will make it happen. But you can not set up a buffet for your team or bring fast food in. There is no change in my story from last week. When talking about food I was talking about goody bags, not meals. My guess is that over 95% of the wrestlers after weigh-in want to leave and go eat.
