i am wondering why the wrestling list on track wrestling is not being released until 2 hrs after greco has started. this info should be released at least the day before the tournment. we have a 4 hr drive and with the price of gas and the cost of a motel is extreme if you have noone to wrestle.. my son had 1 other person in his bracket at manhattan at schoolboy 210+ freestyle and that person is not going to be at state, he had to bump up to junior in order to get mat time in greco.. it would be nice to at least have an idea whether or not to even attend this event.

Good morning I have tried to email Mike Godwin & Brett Deam of Junction City Freestyle WC but came back as spam? I have several of my student wrestling managers that would like to work at FS-GR state. Is their a contact person for table workers? Has a schedule been provided ? let me know RMG

Mike and Brett are not responsible for the management of the tournament.

We have the same problem as Masons on the other end of the spectrum. It seems every freestyle tournament we get kids that are 12-20 pounds bigger, which translates to a 3 or 4 weight class difference in folkstyle. For a small kid that is a big difference. It would be nice to see if any other kids are entered, so we don't have to drive, weigh-in, stay in hotel and then have no matches. I don't really care about the medals, just going through the time and energy is a hassle.

As of this morning there are 150 wrestlers preregistered. Missouri had over 500 this year. We need to step it up and get to that number as well. Right now there aren't even 50 cadets signed up. Come on guys, Cadet duals is just around the corner! I hope to see 500 wrestlers this Saturday!! Good luck to all of them!

So do you have to pre-register or are they taking walkups?

Mike,

You hit the pre-register button and the wrestler list shows up. It won't work from the participant link.

Excluding the duplicates, there are 152 signed up for FS State. Let's at least get to 300!

Any idea when freestyle will finish? Having this in May conflicts with Prom for several schools.

It's hard to tell, LL. With Greco starting first, I would guess about 5:30. If they only have 200, that could be about 4 PM.
