Starting next Sunday, Oct. 5th, and continuing on the FIRST Sunday of every month, we will start up the monthly training session again. Session Focus: Hi Crotch with 5 finishes, blast double with 2 finishes. Shoot and score wrestling, with emphasis on scoring/recovering from bad shots.

We will have USAW cards for sale at the door. Tony and the Maize High School requires it for insurance purposes. If you still have your card from last year '07-'08 season, I beleave it is still good through 2008. Just have it with you when you attend the clinic. No one will be allowed to attend with out a USAW Card.

I believe you must purchase a new card for the 2008/2009 season. The dates are as of Sept 1, 2008 through August 31, 2009. Besides you will be ready for the up coming season by purchasing a new one. Hope all is going well back in KS, MD is very cold right now!

You are right Ginny. Thank you for clearing that up. Last seasons card is only good through August 31,2008. So everyone would need a new card.

Will you be charging a premium for purchasing the cards at the clinic?

Cards are $30.00 and you will be tied back to your home clubs. We will also have coaches cards you can sign up for. There are Bronze Clinics comming up in Oct. and you need a USAW coaches card to attend. $35.00 Coaches card

Don't forget the background check for coaches.

can you tie the USA card back to another state? or is it Kansas only? we usually wait to buy ours in November (as a club), but if I buy it in Kansas, will it be good in Oklahoma?

Your USA card is good at any USA sanctioned function, nation wide, as long as it is current. If you are from OK and your club is in OK, then you can go online, I believe, and purchase it through TheMat.com. KS only allows you to purchase your cards through the club you are affiliated with or at an event like this training session, which will be linked to the club you are with in KS, you can not purchase it online. It benefits the KS USA wrestling that way.

I just checked on Oklahoma's USA web page and they have an area where you can renew your membership there. Here's the link: http://www.usaokwrestling.com/usacard.html. The only time it really matters, and I could be wrong, is when your wrestler is wrestling in tournament such as a state wrestling tournament, School Boy Nat. or Cadet Nat., etc. Because you are then linked to your state. But that can even be changed, as we had done when we moved to Maryland. Sorry, I'm rambling......
