If there was a college in Kansas (preferably KSU) that had a D1 wrestling program, would this be our most competitive team compiled from in-state talent? Thoughts/Suggestions?
125 - Tim Elliot – Central Oklahoma 133 - Tristen DeShazer - Northern Illinois 141 - James Annon – FHSU 149 – Levi Younkin - FHSU 157 - Neil Erisman – OSU 165 - Tyler Koehn – UNL 174 – Chris Pursel – Iowa State 184 – Romero Cotton – UNL 197 – Jesse Strawn – Old Dominion 285 – Atticus Disney – Minnesota

125 Jordan Keller of Cleveland State, last years Senior National Champion at 119, would make a nice addition to this team.

Don't forget about: Cody Garcia-UNO at 125 or 133 (Division II National Champion) Josh Baldridge-Northern Iowa 133 Aaron Ely-Edinboro 133 Jake Tannebaum-Cal Poly 133 Daniel Prater- Northern Colorado 149 (Beat Younkin at Old Chicago Northern Colorado-Open) Joseph Cornejo-Missouri Valley 157 (Beat Erisman at Kaufman-Brand Open last year) Scott Elliot-South Dakota Sate 174 Karl Oeser-Air Force 197 Steve Andrus-Michigan State 285 Joe Bach-Oklahoma 285 Michael Sprigg-Army 285
Pretty talented group of wrestlers to fill out 133, 174, and 285, its to bad we can't actually see what this team would look like. Just need to be thankful we have two DII schools, four jucos, and an NAIA on the way.

I know all of those guys are good wrestlers, but I was trying to determine who is currently the best at each weight?

They might not be at a DII or DI but I think former Sabetha Blue Jays Jason Pyle @149 might need to be considered and Allyn Plattner is currently ranked 5th in the nation @ 285. Both currently wrestle at Luther College in Iowa and wrestle against those upper Iowa teams you might know on a regular basis.
