The Hillsboro Wrestling Club will be hosting our 11th Annual Hillsboro Takedown Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 5th, 2009. Weigh-ins will be from 7:00-8:30 with wrestling beginning at 9:30am. The tournament flyer has been sent to Mike Juby and should be online in the Calendar section shortly.
We will run 6 & U thru 14 & U brackets. We do not run specific weight classes, but rather group kids in 4-man RR brackets according to actual weight and ability level.
If you have any questions, post them here or email scott.ohare@usd410.net
Thanks and hope to see you there!!

I would like to thank everyone who attended our takedown tournament today and I hope it was a positive experience for all coaches, spectators, and especially the wrestlers. We appreciate those clubs that continue to bring kids to our tournament which allows us to keep it going. It was a fun way to start out the kids season...there were a number of exciting matches.
We do have a few items that were left/lost at the tournament site. If you have any club members missing a duffle bag with shoes in it, a black head gear, or a small game system, please contact me by email to make arrangements to get these items returned. We also had three unclaimed medals and have been unable to determine who they belong to.
If anyone has any comments, suggestions, or criticisms that will help us improve the quality of our tournament, please let us know and thanks again for coming. Good luck the rest of the season!!

I would like to thank you for the fun experiance ay the Hillsboro takedown.. not much criticism from here,, the food was priced really good, not to expensive,,, Maybe next time im sure we all wouldnt mind payin an extra dollar for sign-up, if you guys hire one more Ref, that can break out the other refs. so that there isnt a 20-25 minute break on each Mat.. but thats just a small complaint,, definately wouldnt stop us from Coming agian next year.... THANKS

Thanks for the comments...and no one needs to pay extra for another official. Actually, I did have another one contracted that didn't show. I was going to try to find another one that morning, but the four I had said they would handle it. I just paid each of them alittle extra and told them to take a break when they needed it.
