Would like to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns, and phone calls for Blayze, there have been some possitive signs today for Blayze, but he has a long road of recovery ahead of him, he is still in intensive care but is in stable condition. He is probably going to need several surgereries and Physical Therapy in his long course of recovery. Randy & Kathy are with Blayze in Dallas,TX. where his accident happened. There has been a Medical Expense fund that has been created at Bankwest in Goodland, under the name Blayze Bahe Medical Expense Fund for anyone wishing to contribute to his medical expenses. The address is: Bankwest, 924 Main, Goodland, KS 67735. Telephone number is 785-899-2342.
Thank you for your continued support for my nephew. Terry Bahe. For anyone concerned please fill free to give me a call. my number is 785-821-2844 or Home number 785-890-6393

Terry - Do you have an address/room number for the hospital that Blayze is in for anyone who may want to send a card or correspondence?

Blayze had surgery this morning to repair his lower left leg and they had to amputate his left foot below his ankle. I do have an address. CARDS ONLY PLEASE. You may send cards to: Blayze Bahe ICU 25 Methodist Dallas Medical Center 1441 Beckley, Dallas TX 75203. Thanks again for your prayers and concerns. Terry Bahe

This was a very good day. To start the day off Blayzes primary doctor visited with us and indicated that she would like to get Blayze transferred back to Kansas by the weekend if possible. She was hoping to get the surgery scheduled for Tuesday at that time. She was happy with how things are coming along. She also said the strain of Acinetobacter that Blayze has is not the severe resistant type but one that can be controlled without much difficulty with antibiotics. BUT since we have been moved to the infectious disease floor we must remain there until he is transferred or released. Then the Renal Specialist came by and said as of now and barring any surprise infections, etc he is not planning or seeing the need to do anymore dialysis. The creatinine levels have lowered slightly without dialysis the past 2 days which is what he has been looking for to indicate the kidneys are beginning to kick in. The plastic surgeon came by next and explained the planned procedure to repair the right side of his face. This will involve some titanium plates and screws on the fractures. This surgery along with the closing of the amputation are scheduled for Thursday now, but we told them we would like to do it sooner if at all possible. This is the first time we have met him and he has seen Blayze since the day he arrived at the emergency room. We could see by the expression on his face that he is amazed how Blayze has recovered. He expressed to him that he should be on some show like Dateline Survivor or something because it is an amazing recovery. This is the type of day we have been looking for and feel very fortunate to still have our son who has recovered so well thus far and has handled things in such a positive manner. Thanks once again for everything!
