Good luck to St. James Academy down in Oklahoma today competing in the Tulsa Union Mid America Nationals! Ryne Cokeley has a loaded bracket with Jeremy Davenport getting the 1 seed, Ryne #2 and Kyle Ash #3. There are two other state champions in that bracket!
If you want to see the toughest schedule in Kansas high school wrestling, check out SJA's team page.

From what I remember Columbus has their 215lber Lloyd in semi's, Johnson, Ohara and Moore still in, Maize has all but 2 still in and St. James has Cokeley and Moeder in the semi's and TJ Vielhauer on the back side. Very well run tournament, incredible facilities, raised center mat like Fargo, finals will be on local cable w/ commercial breaks just like NCAA's. I think every kid who puts in the time and effort to wrestle, deserves to experience something like this. Coach Medina

It's crazy to see how far El Reno has fallen since Archie left. Not saying it's the new coaches doing, but they were such a powerhouse a few years back.

blaming the coachs is not right these kids are in high school what can a coach do actually for you, you should already know your moves by then your coachs at the high school level in almost all cases are there to makesure the score and time is right el reno sucks now because they dont get the premeire kids anymore jobs must not be there to bring in the good kids parents anymore Are you from this planet?

You're right! Most wrestlers motivate and teach themselves how to wrestle.

It's crazy to see how far El Reno has fallen since Archie left. Not saying it's the new coaches doing, but they were such a powerhouse a few years back. Nasty, I believe I said it's not the coach. I was merely noting that they seemed to have a very quick fall from their yearly perch at the top of Oklahoma wrestling. Sorry if I hit a nerve. I'm just a never has been with an observation. big pin must be a coach he must think its his coaching what makes the kids do better not there hard work Of course by this logic, I'm not sure why there are coaches. What fiscal irresponsibility! All it takes is a janitor to open up the room. Come on...of course the coach doesn't do it all, but it has to be a combination of coaching and a family's dedication to the sport that produces champions. At least that's what I've been told.

Anybody that thinks that coaching doesn't make a difference has obviously never been a coach and is also disconnected with the realities of high school wrestling. College coaches make a big difference as well. Probably just a parent that wants to keep all the credit in the family.

High school coaches don't do much, but college coaches are pretty much useless!!!!!!!! This statement was made with a great deal of sarcasm in reply to Nasty. I know that coaching makes all the difference in the world.
