While I was waiting for my son Jake Kober to wrestle in the finals. I was truly touched by MR. GONZALES and the ceremony. He was truly sincere and it moved me!I want to thank MR. GONZALES who could easily fade away now that his son is going on in life. But like many of us old coaches you just love the kids so much you cant. For that Sir I THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Coach Gonzales I so much appreciate not only what you did, but the entire state committee did for Tyler's family. Not just the immediate family but the wrestling family. Your willingness to help and promote the tag team and shoe retirement was so appreciated. The sincerity of what you did was far beyond the call of duty, it was sincere, and real. I can't tell you how much again that means to me, and the others. I will come on the forums later this evening or tomorrow morning and post more thoughts but it is Easter Morning, and I truly feel that the wrestling community has risen again to the positive things it promotes, things like family, respect, hardwork, appreciation, love and so much more. To everyone who has been a part of the coming together this year through so much struggle, thanks and God Bless.

The entire ceremony hit very close to home having met Tyler and currently battling cancer. Not being an elite caliber wrestler myself,I was excited to be able to be part of a "feature match" on the State Level.
The level of emotions from the retirement of the shoes to the tag team exhibition is like what we see in wrestling tournaments every weekend. You are brought to tears of sadness one moment and then the next those tears are turned to joy and elation.
It was a wonderful experience to be part of something so special, and for all of those who appreciated what was done in honor of Tyler and the whole wrestling community, I now send back my appreciation.
