We will start practicing tomorrow (Thursday)at 4:15 @ Campus High School. Park on the east parking lot. If you have any questions call me at 316-390-6130. You do not need to be a senior to be at practice, if you are attending the tournament you are welcome to practice.

I believe they are having practices at Heights also. Silly to have two separate Senior Nationals practices. Get 'em all together to bang, and start becoming a team.....Seriously, Coach Church posted on here a while ago about his practice, so send your kids there......

My bad, Coach Church's said "SEK KS MO dual" practice. It would be nice to have all the Seniors go to one practice. For some reason Church said underclassmen couldn't practice there? Don't know the rules, but how is Campus doing it if Heights can't? KSHSAA shouldn't have their nose in it anyway......

I was asked by several seniors (from other teams) during the state wrestling tournament to run senior national practices as they like the work-outs we did last year preparing for senior nationals. I was and still am willing to do that. However, KSHSAA says I can't work with my own kids during this time until the end of the school year. Last year I had a wide variety of kids 9-12 and none of them were my own Heights kids except the two seniors Kendric Maple and Chase Nelson. I trained them all hard and put a lot of extra time into that which I love to do.
However, I am just not willing to train everybody elses kids in the off season any longer "if" my own kids are not allowed in the room with me. I will train any and all seniors but underclassmen I can't do. I do not think it is fair or right of me to do that. I will work with any and all kids in the summer time from any part of Kansas. But until that time comes it is Seniors only.
The reason that wrestling67 can run practices at Campus with any and all kids is he is not a high school coach. He is a fan of the sport and has no ties to any of the athletes at the KSHSAA level.

It shouldn't be a problem, there are ample opportunities for the underclassmen to practice elsewhere. Concentrate on making that Senior National team the best it can be.
