The following paragraph as quoted from the “Tournament Committee 2009-2010 Guide To Qualifying Tournaments” is to be modified as shown (modification/addition is in red) and the new paragraph as shown is to be added to this section:
Current wording to be changed and added to:
“Wrestlers will be allowed to weigh-in one time only on Friday night. If a wrestler is over-weight on Friday, then they will be allowed to weigh-in one time only on Saturday morning. Scales will be opened one half (1/2) hour prior to the weigh-in times on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to allow wrestlers to check their weight; after the weigh-ins begin, there will be no checking of weight. Wrestlers must be allowed to use any of the certified scales being used for the competition weigh-ins. Wrestlers who are over weight after their one time weigh-in on Saturday morning will not be allowed to wrestle. There will be no running, or other weight loss measures allowed inside the wrestling facility.”
New wording to replace above wording:
“Wrestlers competing in the USA State Championship will be allowed to weigh-in one time only on Friday night. If a wrestler is over-weight on Friday, then they will be allowed to weigh-in one time only on Saturday morning. Scales will be opened one half (1/2) hour prior to the weigh-in times on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to allow wrestlers to check their weight; after the weigh-ins begin, there will be no checking of weight. Wrestlers must be allowed to use any of the certified scales being used for the competition weigh-ins. Wrestlers who are over weight after their one time weigh-in on Saturday morning will not be allowed to wrestle. There will be no running, or other weight loss measures allowed inside the wrestling facility.
Wrestlers competing in the USA District Championship Tournament and Regional Championship Tournament will be required to weigh-in on Saturday morning prior to the start of the tournament. Wrestlers must make scratch weight. Wrestlers will be allowed to weigh-in one time only. Scales will be opened one half (1/2) hour prior to the scheduled weigh-in time to allow wrestlers to check their weight; after the weigh-ins begin, there will be no checking of weight. Wrestlers must be allowed to use any of the certified scales being used for the competition weigh-ins. Wrestlers who are over weight after their one time weigh-in on Saturday morning will not be allowed to wrestle. There will be no running, or other weight loss measures allowed inside the wrestling facility.”
