Can somebody give me the short version on competition points. How many are allowed, difference between duals and tournaments?

Art. 6: No student representing a member high school shall
participate in more than 18 events and no more than
30 competitions points during a season, exclusive of the
state championship series.

Dual 1 point
Double Dual 2 points
Quad (Triple Dual) 3 points
One-day Tournament 3 points
Two-day Tournament 4 points

You know maybe I am the only one that thinks this would be a great idea, but what if you had a kid or 2 not so good that go to a tournament and go 0-2, I think that should count like doing a double dual, thus he saves a point. Furthermore if it is a regular thing and he goes 0-2, and then maybe 1-2 you can say the 1-2 is the same as a quad (which for a 1 day it is anyway), and then with the 2 times he went 0-2 you could enter him into another tournament (perhaps JV for confidence) on an open week?

How many times do you want somebody to get beat?

I would like to see 4 to 6 competition points that could ONLY be used for Tue, Wed, Thur night duals. This would allow teams to continue participating in tournaments almost every weekend to prepare for regionals and state while also creating more weekday, fan friendly duals. Surely the KWCA would have a fighting chance with getting KSHSAA to approve this. Lets rally the coaches and AD's and make it happen.
