So in 4a a kid from a Catholic School defaulted to a girl at state meet.

5a a Kapaun kid destroys a girl in the opening round of state.

Is this a different matter of church sanctioning bodies for that particular area, i.e; Topeka vs. Wichita?

It is most likely a school rule only, or the individuals decision, as in the Iowa case. It is not against the Catholic Faith to wrestle a girl, or for a girl to wrestle a boy. I have 3 daughters and 2 of them wrestle being Catholic.

According to earlier posts it is a school rule for Topeka Hayden that they do not wrestle girls. Kapaun is just not allowed to wrestle girls at home duals/tournaments but can at away venues.

Why does this matter require further clarification?

Because I was curious as to why one school of a same denomination as another didn't forfeit. Not trying to ruffle feathers, just wanted some insight on the matter as it is intriguing.

The better question is why someone stationed in Germany with no stake in Kansas Wrestling would be intrigued by the issue? To be clear, it is frankly NONE of your business.

Sorry. Guess it is a touchy issue. I want to know for clarification purposes because I got intrigued after reading the same thing happen in Iowa, but that was a kid's choice. Obviously the old religion and politics thing comes to mind, and probably shouldn't have asked being non catholic (has nothing to do with not having stake in Kansas wrestling) should have been my first clue, after all Jesus loves red and yellow, black and white...but some sects believe he is all exclusive to them and you cannot partake in the body and blood. But that is for another day and someone that attends church on a regular basis to figure out.

Not sure this comment was necessary.

Do all the old wrestler dudes in south central Kansas have tact like this.

I have heard that Richard was first a John Bircher. Rececently he got conservative and is now a Tea Partier. When I read some of his comments he reminds me of the little Nazi leader in the movie BLUES BROTHERS. Richard, do you drive a Pinto?

John Birch Society
The neutrality of this article is disputed. Please see the discussion on the talk page. Please do not remove this message until the dispute is resolved. (January 2011)
The John Birch Society is an American radical right-wing[1][2] political advocacy group that supports anti-communism, limited government, a Constitutional Republic[3][4] and personal freedom.[5]
It was founded in 1958 by Robert W. Welch Jr. (1899–1985), who developed an elaborate infrastructure that enabled him to keep a very tight rein on the chapters.[6] Originally based in Belmont, Massachusetts, the JBS is now headquartered in Grand Chute, Wisconsin,[7] with local chapters in all 50 states. The organization owns American Opinion Publishing, which publishes the journal The New American.[8]

Once or twice a year I go out on a limb and display a little humor. I hate it when that happens!
