as i said on the college forum another great Kansas school I wish would add wrestling is Washburn...we already have 2 Kansas State champions on the football team and will be adding a 3rd with the addition of Lockhart...it also does not hurt that it's the cheapest four year college in the state and wrestlers could attend the school without scholarship

Washburn is the cheapest four year college in Kansas? Where are you getting your information? Washburn is $207 per credit hour, nearly double that of Fort Hays State, Emporia, Pitt and other regents schools. Lack of money for wrestling scholarships and the high cost of Washburn, make it one of the WORST schools to consider wrestling.

Washburn is very expensive to attend. If we are going to spend that type of money to wrestle we should push one of our Div. 1 schools to get wrestling, that away we can keep some of our stud wrestlers in state that go elsewhere.

sorry my numbers were skewed as I was looking at a different set of numbers...Washburn is not as expensive to attend as you think with all the schloarships, financial aid, and what not...it is cheaper to live off campus though...and there is an agreement at the school amongst wrestling supporters at the school that it can be an ideal school for wrestling if there was funding outside from the school...but that is just my opinion and no one has to agree with it
