Coffeyville has its wrestling tournament on the Saturday following Christmas the last couple of years, and have had a good turn out. Since Christmas is on a Saturday this year, we thought about having the tournament on the Thursday before Christmas. What are your thoughts about this, or would your club be willing to come?

The problems I see with that, is Dixie Nationals in Atlanta, GA is being held on the 20th (Monday) and you will have some who may not want to wrestle again so soon. From what I hear, there are many Kansas kids attending.
2nd, you have many people getting ready to leave town for Christmas they may not have time for it.

Kind of depends on what you are wanting here. I know that we may or may not be looking for a tournament. I'll also say this, Sapulpa Oklahoma usually has a Christmas tournament and we used to love going to it. One of my favorite wrestling trophies of all time complete with Santa. If Christmas is on a Saturday, and there are no other local tournaments that week, there would be a few, but agree with the previous post, a few that would attend. I know I would be willing to go with my son and others in the area that wanted to drive out.
