I would like to thank everyone that gave us support at the state tournament. On Friday night we got a call from my Father in law that told us that my Mother in law had a heart attack and had passed away.

We were asked to stay and wrestle by her father. They were a big wrestling family and they understand all the hard work and hours that come into making it to state.

It was hard to stay , but throughout Saturday and Sunday we had a lot of support from other clubs and parents that we have seen for the past four years. They all know how much Garrett loves wrestling and that this was his first year to make it.

Garrett went out and pinned his first kid. As he came off the mat he told me that was for his Gramma and that he was going to place for his mom. He wrestled some very good kids and ended up placing 6th. He is becoming Maize tough.Thanks to all the coaches for that.Bryce,Jack ,Shane, Derek,Zach, and John. there is no way he could of done it with out you guys.


We are new to the Maize wrestling club and with all the support they gave us, you would think we had been there are whole career. It made me feel good to know that everyone there cares and for that I am very thankful.

Thanks a lot the coach Bryce and to Coach Wetta for coming down stairs Friday night to tell us what ever we wanted to do they would support it . Mr. Wetta I would't of made it through the weekend with out you . You are a true friend.Thanks for always making me laugh.
