Last night I heard from an individual who should know that the Blue Valley middle schools no longer, or in the near future, will not have competitive sports programs. The supposed rationale is that the vast majority of Blue Valley student athletes (elementary, MS, HS) play club sports during the school off seasons. MS competitive sports duplicates club, YMCA/YWCA, CYO, Park and Rec, Little League, etc. Cutting MS sports is a school district savings (coaches salaries, busing, refereees, facility maintenance, ????.

Anybody, any truth to what I was told?
