2012 Team Central Wrestling Club Elementary Duals
(Entries will be capped at 8 teams)
When: Sunday, December 9, 2012
Tournament Start Time: 12:00 PM – 4 Full Mats to be used!
Approximate Finals Start Time: 4:00 PM
Team Weigh-Ins/Skin Check: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Open pre-weigh @ 9:30 AM)
Location: Staley High School, 2800 NE Shoal Creek Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64156
Format: Teams will be divided into 2 pools with each team guaranteed 5 matches. Each team will compete in a round robin against all teams in their pool. At the end of pool competition, the top 2 teams from each pool will compete in a
seeded 4-team bracket to determine 1st – 4th place. A consolation bracket will be wrestled.
Team Info: Wrestlers must be in grades 2nd – 6th* and must not be older than 12. *Note: a total of (2) 12U / 7th grade wrestlers will be allowed on each roster.
The following weight classes will be wrestled: 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 110, 120, 130, HWT*, *HWT can not weigh more than 160.
Any wrestler may wrestle in his made weight class and one weight class higher during the tournament. No wrestler may wrestle in more than one weight class in any individual dual match. Scratch weight must be made with no allowance granted.
Important: Wrestlers from other clubs or independents may wrestle on your team with the following restrictions: (a) No more than 3 wrestlers may be non-club members if added wrestlers are from more than one other club OR (b) No more than 5 added wrestlers may participate so long as the added wrestlers are from only one other club.
Awards: Team Trophy for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded. T-shirts to be given to each wrestler on the teams placing 1st – 3rd.
Entry Cost: $360.00 per team. Each team allowed 18 wrestlers and 4 coaches.*
$3.00 per adult spectator
$2.00 per child spectator (5-13 yrs old)
Children under 5 are free
*Each wrestler & coach must have 2012-13 USA Cards & turned in an Individual Registration Form.
Concessions: No coolers or outside food or beverages to be brought in. Concessions will be available during the entire tournament.
Hospitality Room: A Hospitality Room will be available to all 4 coaches on team entry roster.
Other Details: Weigh-ins will be done in singlet and no weight allowance will be offered. Absolutely no
weight cutting will be allowed at the tournament. Each team may choose during the
tournament who will participate at what weight class. As noted above, no wrestler may
wrestle more than once in any dual and no wrestler may wrestle in more than 1 weight
class above their scratch weight class. At the end of the dual, any alternate wrestlers will
be allowed to wrestle assuming the other team has a competitor at that weight.
Regular High School team scoring will be used to determine the winning & losing team.
Should a tie occur, team with most falls (forfeit counts as a fall) wins. If falls are equal,
most takedowns will win.
