After lasts nights debacle at TCU - KU fans might be in a mood to dump the whole program and start something new.
Worth a shot!

Funny thing with that, I have a great great cousin who is in the wrestling hall of fame that wrestled for KU way back in the day. In Allen Field house they have a picture of him for wrestling and for winning an Olympic gold medal in 1932. His name was Pete Mehringer. My guess would be he is the only wrestler with a picture in Allen.

Worth a shot! After 5 national championships, 14 final fours, not to mention that Kansas has the longest current streak of consecutive NCAA tournament appearances (23), holds the longest current streak of winning seasons (30), has the most winning seasons in Division I history (94), the most non-losing seasons (.500 or better) in NCAA history (97), the most conference championships in Division I history (55), the most First Team All Americans in Division I history (20), the most First Team All American Selections in Division I history (28), is third in Division I all-time winning percentage (.721) and is second in Division I all-time wins (2,089).................I doubt it!

So KU has a wrestling program now?

WOW! Now you are counting the 1922 and 1923 seasons as NCAA Championships? So did Helms change their name to NCAA? I can give you 3 national championships but not 5 (1952, 1988, and 2008).
The program has enjoyed considerable national success, having been selected Helms Foundation National Champions in 1922 and 1923, winning NCAA national championships in 1952, 1988, and 2008, playing in 14 Final Fours, and is one of only three programs to win more than 2,000 games.
