would someone clarify home weigh ins versus sat weigh ins.

"Home site weigh in" is a type of satellite weigh in. Tournaments may choose to limit the number of satellite locations to a select few or with "home site weigh in" they allow each club participating in their tourney to host a weigh in.

The satellite weigh in option adds a level of convenience to the weigh in process. But it is important that all weigh in protocol best practices are followed and that skin checks are performed prior to allowing the athletes to step on the scale. If not…there can be no confidence in one of the most important controls of our sport.
