Just wondering why the wrestlers that did not have matches are listed as DNP at this tournament? Kinda odd that they did not go ahead and build the bracket then just list the byes like they did in other districts. Will these wrestlers get credit?

They will go ahead and be moved on to Districts. I would assume that all of the other brackets have to be built before they can release any of the brackets. I don't understand what kind of "credit" you are wanting them to get.

The "DNP" doesn't give any "credit" or take away from their profiles percentage. They can't get first, they can't get last. What would you prefer? Did they place?

As I said it is different than the other districts/subs where they did it just like they have in the past and for most of all tournaments used in Track wrestling where this situation occurs. Did they not issue medals for these weights? Why they chose to be different is odd. Even the D2N gave these positions a 1st as a result. Even though they didn't wrestle a match they still got first so why not just say that.

When I click on the results for the tournament is does list the placers. When I clicked on random brackets it does not show DNP.

Richard, does this mean that he and others that are listed this way did not place? That looks confusing to me when everyone else bothered to make a bracket and showed the byes. When you look up their wrestling profiles it shows they DNP.

What it means is there were no matches to be scored in the bracket. Perhaps I have been around the sport for too long but is seems obvious a weight classification with only one (1) participant, after the participant weighs-in, the lone participant will win the weight classification. Did you not attend the tournament to pick up your medal?

I am confused why a person would be concerned over a TrackWrestling profile and placement in a tournament where a match was not wrestled!

If there is only one wrestler then they placed 1st and last. If there were two wrestlers, do they place 2nd or last? Come on, the wrestler moved on. There were no matches wrestled, there was no competitioin, what is the big deal? My opinion it should be labeled a no contest, which is what it was.

It is done, I built a bracket so they should show up on results now. Sorry.
