Thanks to James Cook, the Young Guns moms who fed the boys, all of the coaches, van drivers, and chaperones. The boys all wrestled tough! Kansas was well represented with five teams and several alternates. This was the eighth year Kansas has taken teams to a National Folkstyle Duals event for Middle Schoolers and I have to say I am impressed with the improvement overall. This group was very impressive. It takes a ton of work to haul 116 wrestlers to Des Moines but it went off without a hitch. Thanks to all who helped out!

NEXT YEAR NOTES! They are going to expand the arena floor so that we are not as crowded (some mats were literally ringed by wrestlers). They are focusing on growing this event. Next year we plan to work with them on a clock rental deal as well as providing some Kansas officials! This is a super event lets keep it rolling!!

I wanted to give big thanks to James and everyone involved in taking the Kansas teams last weekend. It was an amazing experience for my son that he will never forget! Thank You!!!! I would like to thank everyone involved in the middle school duals. This has been one of the best experiences in my sons life for the last two years and would recommend it for any parent to send their wrestler. The coaches were great. The kids bond and learn so much. Kids cheer on their team and even run over to cheer on the other Kansas teams. I feel this is what wrestling is about - great competition and friendships that will last a life time. Thank you again.
