Cardfan posted this on last year's topic for this weight and division:
"Jordan Brown from Pittsburg will definately contend for the title this year! He is undefeated and also won the clif keen open this year."
I definitely agree that Jordan Brown will be a major threat. My son wrestled at 120 in District 1 last year when Jordan was wrestling at 115. Because of that, my son often followed Jordan on the same mat at several tournaments including Subs and District. I got the opportunity to watch Jordan wrestle more than once. I was very impressed. I was also glad he was at 115 and not 120. Jordan ended up taking third at State at 115. I was very impressed with both Jordan's skill and his intensity. He will be a threat at State no matter what the weight that he is at. I saw that he wrestled 120 at the preseason Cliff Keen.
Like last year it is difficult to know who might end up at this weight but if they end up here others to watch are Colby Crank, Joel Marrs, and Brett Dunlap. I really am just speculating on some good wrestlers who might end up at this weight. Perhaps some others who know where the kids are weight-wise can fill us in some more.

After I posted, I thought of another young wrestler Josh Mapes from Vermillion Valley who might fall in this weight group. He was wrestling pretty strong at the end of last season and I saw him wrestle at the Sunflower Games this Summer. I thought he looked good there. I noticed that he recently finished first in the Team Tiger tournament in the 120-130lbs class, so it appears he is in this weight group. Brett Dunlap finished third in this tournament, so that is an impressive win for Josh. I think he too will be a strong contender at State at this weight. I believe that there is a very good chance that he will place high.

I see that this weekend at Rossville that Marrs took first and Mapes was second and at the WWC that Jordan Brown was first and Colby Crank was second. Does anyone know the exact results or scores from either of these championship matches?

If Marrs is the brother of Josh Marrs (and I believe one other older brother) I'm sure he will do very well. That is a family with a lot of talent.

Go to Rodrick's previous post. He brings up Arnold's name every chance he gets. But I have to agree with Rodrick. Arnold is amazing. It was amazing that he survived the whipping Romero Cotton put on him at Derby. Cotton dominated him from the start - only allowing a couple of escapes. Cotton was never in danger of losing. He would have pinned Arnold in the first minute if the ref hadn't stopped the match when Arnold was put on his back to see if Arnold was still alive. Don't get me wrong. I like Mitch. But if Rodrick keeps bringing his name up then it is only fair to point out his losses. By the way, isn't Cotton a lighter weight? And the post was about 12 year olds. Arnold is in 14 & under - which Rodrick would have known since he said he was 13 in his previous posts.

Ya, "i dont kno what wrong with you" Roderick! But we were all talking about Jordan Brown winning the 12 and under division, No one said anything on here about brown beating the studs in the 14 and under division such as Cotton or Arnold.
