Nice job on the tourney this year. Great call on cancelling the weigh in's with all of the late arrivals. I hope you will post the results.
The only negative I saw was the worst call ever in wrestling. Our guy slapped a cradle on mat 4 on his opponent who shot on the whistle. Took him to his back for 8 seconds. NO BACK POINTS> WOW. I watched the replay on tape. Unbelievable. Our coach assumed we had the points. I pointed it out to him. After the second period started. The official told him it was a judgement call? The only judgement was whether the kid was pinned or not. I watched the official the rest of the day. Many times he would count back points from the standing position. I don't get that mentality. How can you see the shoulder blades from your feet? On the other hand, the rest of the officiating crew was awesome!

Weigh-ins were running way late....we stood in line for 40 minutes, before we made it to the scales. When we left to get breakfast there were still hundreds of kids in line. I was told when we returned that in order to get the wrestling started on time, kids were simply marked with their age and weight...I would of been a little ticked if I was one of the early kids that ran to make weight when others did not have to prove weight.

I don't know his name, but hopes he reads this as he knows my voice. He seems to be more at the Opens. You would drop your jaw if you saw the tape on it. The call changed the whole chemistry of the match as our wrestler looked up the scoreboard confused. He is only 8 and knew he should of had the points. I have a tough time pointing fingers at anyone as I personally know officiating is demanding. Especially when the majority do a great job. Please think of the kids and the future of wrestling.

Has anyone heard anything about the wrestler on Mat 8 that went down in the afternoon. There was no information on him just speculation on what happened (neck, back etc). All I know is that once he went down he did not move. As with many that were there he is in everyone's prayers for a speedy recovery
