Has anything ever transpired from the "swim rule" that was dicussed last season? It allowed swimmers to swim with their kids club during the school season. It was posted optimisticaly that this would bleed over into wrestling. My son starts middle school this year and I would be interested in the effects. I support him wrestling with the school but would still like him to stay with kansas kids through the season if possible. Of course this all depends on the rule, we dont want to challenge any elegibility rules. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

The short answer is the proposed legislation did not pass.

That helps, what is the rule on elegibility? If the kids wrestle out of state in national events and such, would their elegibilty be in question?

Once they start practicing with their school team they cannot compete in outside competitions.

What about out of state competition, such as nationals in colorado, texas or missouri. Are there any loopholes?
