This weekend in Hays, I watched some of the most awful wrestling I've even seen. Weight classes 103-145 were very entertaining. 152-HWT, where were the wrestlers. The boys in the 152, 160, and 171 weight classes were the smallest at that weight i've ever seen. There were a select few that were cut or ripped, but they were all small. Has the weight room become a non-factor theses days or what. There were also a few wrestlers in this group that i would like to congratulate. Philip Lyons looked awfully good this weekend. He wrestled with intensity. 215# weight class had no one. Everyone I talked to was talkin Kyle Strait up. Did he forget to show up or what? Jeff Horinek looked good on his feet. Other than those 2, there were horrible wrestlers at 215. One good athlete could have pinned their way to the title. And finally heavyweight. Honas is overrated and does nothing but stalls. Heavyweight lacked a true champion like we've had in the last few years in Ubben. Eberwein had Honas stuck. I saw it on video. Eberwein will be undefeated again next year going into the state tourney, but will come out of it a champion next time around. He'll get his head on straight, and stick them all. If you got any arguments, lets hear them.

did you watch the finals match with honas and sprigg. Honas was warned for stalling early on in the match while sprigg backed up the entire 2nd period. Honas is a great wrestler and i think that he will be in the finals again next year. the only thing eberwein did was got a lucky throw when honas sagged and got rolled. if it was for that honas would have stroked him

So i guess that anytime anyone ever hits a throw on an opponent that it is just luck? You tell me railer_wrestler. I did watch the match with Sprigg and Honas and Honas did wrestle halfway aggressive. He still left something to be desired though.

Honky,
You claim to the high horses that Eberwein had Honas stuck in the semis, but Chris shouldn't have even made it past the 1st round. You talk about how Eberwein shoulda beat Honas, but you forget to mention anything about Mark Barnes not getting the pin call in the first round again Eberwein.
To me, Chris didn't get screwed. He was lucky to make it that far.

Oh yes, i forgot about this. Barnes did seem to have Eberwein stuck in the first period. And as i may remember i think it was twice he had him on his back and should have been called pins.

Thank you whatever
